Vision

Vision

Dreams. We go no where without them.

As the B4F team and dreamer personality in general, it's easy to see possibility for the future. The hard part is understanding that Vision is far more than just believing that everything you want to do can happen. Vision is saying no to a lot of good, in order to touch the great. It's something that haunts our commitments, our pursuits, and our aspirations every day. Am I tapping into the bigger picture? Am I sprinting in the right direction? But, more so than what I do being the "right" thing, Vision begins to hold a weight and beauty that plays a simpler role than a results-oriented task. It begins to encompass identity, personality, artistic nudging and community.

Our Vision for the future consists of four short-term goals.

  1. Expanding the brick and mortar location in downtown Saint Joseph, Michigan to a second location on the same shopping strip or close by that specifically focuses on fair trade and ethical clothing lines. It is so easy to shop inexpensively at big name department stores for every day clothing choices. But, other than a small tag that more often than not says, "Made in China" or "Made in India", this clothing has a high probability that there is labor enslavement occurring along the lines of production. (Learn more about how many people might be enslaved with the products you buy at Slavery Footprint). We want to offer an outlet for purchasing all "ethical clothing" where shoppers won't have to worry about if their product is hurting or enslaving another individual.
  2. Opening a separate cafe location has been in the dreams for awhile. Creating inspirational and community-building atmospheres where music and art can be celebrated and promoted is something the world needs a little more of.
  3. Through our Destiny Rescue "Change for Change" Fund, extracting as many children as we can out of sex-slavery in Thailand is and will be an ongoing goal for the duration of this company. Approximately $1,500 rescues one child and houses, schools and rehabilitates them. So far, we have been able to sponsor two girls, names we cannot reveal on the internet. To be able to see change happen with where we give our money is something incredibly tangible. Whether it's here or other avenues, we encourage the lifestyle of giving, it not only gives opportunities to further growth, but it awakens life and revitalizes hearts.
  4. Creating B4F's own product line based in Berrien County, Michigan providing job opportunities through product creation at a women's shelter.
